Mr Justice Norris

Sir Alastair Norris was called to the bar by Lincoln’s Inn in 1973. He became a Bencher in 2004. Before his appointment as a High Court Judge in the Chancery Division, he was appointed a QC in 1997. He was a Recorder of the Crown Court before a Senior Circuit Judge (Chancery) at Birmingham where he sat from 2001 until 2007. In October 2007 he was appointed to the High Court (Chancery Division).

Mr Justice Norris will be explaining why he is a strong supporter of mediation and will give examples of cases that he considers should have been mediated.

A mediator for Mediation Bucks will also give a short update on the principles of mediation and its recent developments.
